It is a preconceived notion, that if you are a man, in your bedroom, your mattress is on the floor, with a camouflage blanket and clothes in boxes. That is far from the truth.
Take the married man’s bedroom. If it is masculine, that does not mean it cannot be fun, romantic and even appealing to the lady of the house. It is easier to create a bedroom to reflect a man’s designs that a woman will enjoy than it is to create a “girly” look that a man will enjoy and be comfortable with.
Masculine does not mean black walls, and blankets with two pillows. Men have a wide range of things they like, and it is not hard to combine a man and woman’s tastes in the bedroom. There is the modern look; modern features with bedding to match. There are many great styles to choose from.
Then there is the rustic, big furniture, warm quilts or comforters, lots of pillows… although a guy will say they do not like pillows, they cuddle up with them — they just will not admit it.
A man’s bedroom does not have to look boring. It is his private den, even if he shares it with his mate. A man would like it to have a masculine feel. You can go with plain sheets, like blue, or earthy colors, or even satin sheets. And there are an array of quilts and comforters to match his personality. There are many styles. Pure Egyptian cotton, cotton and polyester blends, jacquard weaves, denim, faux fur; there are all awesome choices in the bedroom.
